Never Sleep:

"Never Sleep centralise prosperity for the welcomed return of sonic marauder XHL Unit.

'Combobreaker' showcases the bombastic mutant arrangement style perfectly with acoustic fragmentation, dissected sound design and "5000cap hands in the air" junglist breakdown. 'No Slap part 2' fluctuates on the periphery of Hardcore but its elasticity allows genre metamorphosis with nods to Gabber, IDM and auditory distortion. 'Human Traffic'strips things to its essence and resonates with dance floor mechanics.

'Jungle 1' is as much in line with Steve Reich, Ginger Baker and Cliff Martinez as it does Dillnja.. A masterclass in minimalism, a precise yet rolling drum work out and cinematic chordal echos allow the song to breathe in the chaos. 'Wideflorist' closes on more hybrid sonetto movements and complexifies its sequential crescendo.

I did not expect the global pandemic in 2020 when I had originally put the record out as a digital only release. I did not predict that one day I would re-release it physically. I did not know that I would ever develop an interest in photography until I got a film camera on a whim in April of 2023. I did not have a particular interest in cars, really. I took an abstract photo of a car hood in black and white after someone suggested I start with simple images. So, I started to make a collection. I walk around a lot because I don't have a car but cars are everywhere. They are so ubiquitous that they blend in with the background noise of the rest of New York City. I often feel like whatever I am working on will be the final version of some idea I have and I am usually wrong. I always feel like I am at the end of some line when I finish a project and as time goes on it is easier to see it as a developing process. I did not expect the global pandemic in 2020 when I had originally put the record out as a digital only release. I did not predict that one day I would re-release it physically. I did not know that I would ever develop an interest in photography until I got a film camera on a whim in April of 2023. I did not have a particular interest in cars, really. I took an abstract photo of a car hood in black and white after someone suggested I start with simple images. So, I started to make a collection. I walk around a lot because I don't have a car but cars are everywhere. They are so ubiquitous that they blend in with the background noise of the rest of New York City. I often feel like whatever I am working on will be the final version of some idea I have and I am usually wrong. I always feel like I am at the end of some line when I finish a project and as time goes on it is easier to see it as a developing process.
