Ongoing Discipline presents the debut US release of Red Wine and Sugar. The Melbourne-based duo of Samaan Fieck and Mark Groves conjures worlds in the liminal space between the sounds of Robert Ashley and the cinema of Robert Bresson. Theirs is an approach which slyly inverts the concerns of power electronics to detail something far more disquieting - the condition of modern city life and its attendant worries. Mastered by Joe Talia and released in an edition of 250 glass-mastered CDs in heavy, eco-friendly wallets.
