And these luscious instrumentals truly do feel assembled by intuition, casually crafted with little need for guidance. “claire and I are both emo,” explains Korsmo. “We are both former texas-dwellers [too] and relate over both the woes and beauties of being in the American DIY experimental music scene.” Buoyant piano keys and hushed layer vocals tracks sit alongside a humming\u003cspan class=\"bcTruncateMore\"\u003e field-recorded scrapbook; a neighbour caught in a moment of private inspiration while street noise elevates; a private hymnal in the bathroom while the washing machine ends its cycle. Both artists take field sounds from a wealth of Zoom and Tascam recordings made in the last half-decade in Santa Fe, San Antonio, Los Angeles, Kamakura, Japan and elsewhere – from a baseball game announcer in Santa Fe, to the sound of a friend eating a juicy peach. At times, the bedroom walls seem to grow thin amid atmospheric creaks and disembodied whispers. It’s a reminder of the holy nature of sound itself, beamed into our heads intangibly. The flipside’s water ritual, frantically dunking ‘water synthesizers’ to birth swooping melodies and yawning tones, is jabbing at sleeping giants. It’s pushing and pulling the stars in the night sky into place. ブラジルのプログラマー／実験音楽家Henrique Vazが、2024年8月にスロバキアの実験／オールジャンルレーベルMappaからリリースしたカセットです。 A面はサンプルを一切用いずにアルゴリズムのみで構築した擬似環境音によるコラージュ・アンビエント、B面はハイドロフォンによるアンビエントドローンを収録。 ※デジタル音源を無料でお送りいたしますのでお気軽にご連絡くださいませ 以下、レーベルによる解説です。 "バイオームとは、有機的な関係を持つ小さな世界であり、闘争、共生、そして時代遅れのノイズに満ちている。Henrique Vazは、『De Silenti Natura』において、独自のファジーなロジックから芽生える人工的な聴覚バイオームを丹念に作り上げている。このブラジル人アーティストは、複雑で、しばしば曖昧な（非）自然環境の音を解釈し、複製し、2面のテープに生息する想像上のシステムを作り上げる。1曲目とタイトル曲のサウンドスケープは、サンプルを一切使わず、リアルタイムでサウンドを生成するSupercolliderを活用し、完全にアルゴリズムで合成されている。こうして構築された環境は、昆虫のような鳴き声やパチパチという音が、山脈や噴火するような音のドラマの森へと広がっていくように、それ自体の壮大さから逃れられないような、栄えあるものだ。第2面では、「ハイドロフォン」ウォーターシンセサイザーを導入。金魚鉢の中に沈められ、電子コードの展開する波とインターフェースし、湿った扱いにくいドロドロとした動きのユニークなブレンドを作り出し、プリズムのように甘美なサウンドスケープに散りばめられ、宇宙船のブリッジから鍾乳石の響く滴りまで、あらゆるものに似ている。 アルバムの両面は、ヒスノイズ、遠くのデジタル聖歌隊、暖かく包み込むようなコード、ジャダーのようなブリープ音が幾重にも重なり、ゆっくりと解きほぐされていく。その扱いにくく奇妙な性質にもかかわらず、無数の要素が、新しい（人工的な）生命の開花と（現実の）世界の破滅と破壊の間を行き来しながら、親しみやすい環境感覚を伝えている。 サイド1の終楽章で鐘の音（サンプルは使わず、完全な合成音）が聞こえてくると、シミュラクラムのような不協和音が聞こえてくる。音そのものの神聖な性質を思い出させてくれる。裏面の水の儀式では、「ウォーター・シンセサイザー」を必死に水につけて、急降下するメロディーとあくびをするような音色を生み出す。夜空の星々を所定の位置に押し込んだり引っ張ったりしているのだ。それは美しい創造のシンプルな行為であり、ティーカップの中の嵐でもある。 " レーベルその他作品はこちら /// Click here to...
