"Along with the release of its first volume, "Hard Classiks, Volume 2" was part of a rollout of Nmesh's early hardcore works, saddled mainly in the breakcore, gabber, and hardcore electronica leads that he was following between 2002-2009. As with "Volume 1", there are some tracks that found their home mostly snug within the confines of this compilation, but there are some differences when it is compared to its predecessor.

Unlike the first volume, a great collection of tracks on "Volume 2" were released upon other albums and EPs, most notably a smattering of pieces which ended up on "God?Awful" and "Gateway Press", remastered once again for the occasion. Some remixes and tracks which were released mainly upon this compilation line up beside them, however, which helps to create a diverse sampler of this period of Nmesh's work.

For those interested in delving in further towards his other albums which spring from this sort of sound, the crossover tracks work as a sort of stepping stone towards them, while also being the building blocks of a great compilation of some of the artist's heaviest tracks."
