東京の実験レーベルVLZ prukt主宰VELTZのアンビエント名義JULY 24が過去に録音していた音源をコンパイルした一枚です。

夏の扉という題の通り、初夏に合うアンビエント〜ドローン4曲を収録。以下、レーベル解説です。

VELTZ名義で活動する松岡亮の、アンビエント、ドローンアプローチの楽曲をまとめた一枚。

VELTZ以前のオルタナティブユニットGeltz!のベーシストとして活動していた頃に制作した緩やかで夏を想起させるポップなアンビエント、カセットテープマニュピレートのビアノとルイス稲毛によるベースとの実験的な自宅セッション、VELTZとしての陰鬱なドローンなどを収録。ドローントラックは坂口卓也氏主宰NEURECから2015年にリリースされたアルバム「In Dust, Real Dream」からの抜粋であり、海底に沈む戦艦が見る夢をイメージして制作したもの。

様々な「夏」へと通じる4トラックとなっている。」

"A compilation of ambient and drone approach songs by Ryo Matsuoka, who works under the name of VELTZ.

As VELTZ, an experimental home session with Biano and Lewis Inage, a cassette tape manipulator, a gentle, summer-inspired pop ambient created while working as a bassist for the alternative unit Geltz! Before VELTZ. Includes gloomy drones and more. The drone truck is an excerpt from the album "In Dust, Real Dream" released in 2015 by NEUREC, which is presided over by Mr. Takuya Sakaguchi, and was created with the image of the dream of a battleship sinking on the seabed.
