毎度マニアックなリリースを美しい装丁で展開するイギリス／ポルトガルのオブスキュアレーベルPurge最新作を入荷しました。

本作は、大阪の実験音楽家稲垣貴士が、2024年6月に200部限定でリリースしたレコードです。

実験映像作家伊藤高志の作品『恋する虜』と『The Dead Dance』のサウンドトラック集です。180g重量盤。パフォーマンス&インスタレーションのイメージブックレットと八角 聡仁によるエッセイが付属。

"伊藤高志監督によるJEAN GENET（ジャン・ジュネ）の『Prisoner of Love（邦題：恋する虜）』の舞台化と、並行して行われる映像インスタレーション『The Dead Dance』のサウンドトラック。

ジュネがヨルダンのパレスチナ難民キャンプで過ごした2年間を綴った最後の文学作品。約10年後、ジュネが知っていた男たちの多くが殺され、彼自身も死にかかっていたときに書かれた『Prisoner of Love』は、その時代と男たちを見事に描写していると同時に、パレスチナ革命だけでなく、反乱そのものに対する作者のコミットメントを再確認させてくれる。

GENET’s final literary work recounts the two years he spent in Palestinian refugee camps in Jordan. Prisoner of Love, ‘written some ten years later, when many of the men Genet had known had been killed, and he himself was dying, is a beautifully observed description of that time and those men as well as a reaffirmation of the author's commitment not only to the Palestinian revolution but to rebellion itself.’"
