His debut album KRE was released on Pointless Geometry in 2023, featuring mutated forms of footwork, dub, techno and bass music. And it is SKI who is the second artist invited by the owner of Outlines to the drumming groove series.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003egroove 17 begins with edgy, rough and jagged sounds that gradually develop into systematic repetitions that penetrate each other. The foreground is dominated by drums processed by various types of effects generated by Szymon Szwarc, aka swrcfx, with whom Damian Kowalczyk previously collaborated on the KRE album. Groove 17.1 oscillates between long improvised parts flowing smoothly into more structured moments.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eThe first part of Groove 17.2 is set on a seemingly chaotic tangle of sounds, but in the second segment of the recording the optics change and all the layers are laid down in favour of a looped footwork dynamic.
