To hopefully lift the curse, we had to take these old and new musical ideas from projects near and far, and try to do them justice in our refined power trio arrangements. We played a couple shows like this - drums, bass and guitar - and this EP basically documents what we sounded like live. There are very few recordings of the live band in existence, and we have had many different versions - instrumental, with singing, large ensembles and small. Because we barely play outside our home town, all these ideas and new music goes unheard by anyone that isn’t part of the handful of people who come to our gigs. It is a bit hiddenness. This is a glimpse into one version of the band, documented for anyone to hear. I hope this EP breaks the dry spell, and we see all this other music come out of hiding soon."

Artist : Blue Divers

Label : Why Don't You Believe Me? The album is performed by Miles Myjavec, Ashley Bundang, Lehmann B. Smith, Jack Saltmaris and Alec Marshall. The recordings started with impromptu collaborations in Marshall’s living room in Thirroul, before being sent through the modern marvels of the internet across the Northern Rivers, New South Wales; Melbourne, Victoria, and finally back to the New South Wales South Coast, where the record was picked up by Marshall and assembled into its finished whole. When I listen to it, it sounds like we’re all in the same room playing live. It's partly because the overdubbing is done so quickly and intuitively, first takes kinda thing. Miles plays percussion and flute, Lehmann plays clarinet, Ashley plays vibraphone and various keyboard instruments, with Marshall bringing up the rear on guitar, bass, percussion, piano and keyboards.

Alec Marshal says of the lead single, 'Low' --

“This track features Miles, Ashley and myself.
