"Faster Detail is the solo project of sound disciple and master Alex Chesney, who over the years has explored terrain in classic hardware acid (see his excellent 2014 "Chance Cube" 12" on HR), noise, dream pop (Ashrae Fax, Gam Spun), and mapped his own territory with a hermetic, cybernetic sound design-heavy dubstep-influenced leftfield club music. This album is the apotheosis of the latter endeavor, a disorienting psychedelic collage of avant-EDM futuresound featuring some of the heaviest metallic synth sounds on record, expressive electronic vocalizations, and heavily manipulated found sound with a feverish quality suited to a humid summer day, mastered for maximum loudness, falling somewhere between a gritty deconstruction of contemporary mainstream club music and it's natural furthest-flung conclusion."

Despite this, Aiko has been publishing in other forms since 2020, but always within the sphere of ambient music.\"\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\"This album was born as a long-lasting sound continuum. It was then cut, stitched together and reassembled to give shape and restore unity from the fragments, in order to have an album that shows its completeness halfway between the titles and the compositions themselves. Contrary to what it may seem, it is not born from a concept and does not want to be. The titles were chosen in a poetic, almost naïve way, the sounds of these creatures led me to believe that they could be divided into different distinct phases of the day. It was then cut, stitched together and reassembled to give shape and restore unity from the fragments, in order to have an album that shows its completeness halfway between the titles and the compositions themselves. Contrary to what it may seem, it is not born from a concept and does not want to be. The titles were chosen in a poetic, almost naïve way, the sounds of these creatures led me to believe that they could be divided into different distinct phases of the day.
