This is an evocative and compelling portrait of an artist traversing pressure fronts freely, oscillating between granite-like density and a dizzying, breathless altitude with apparent ease. It’s also a heartfelt invitation to tread Daniele’s own liminal path, perhaps most eloquently extended on the eight-minute closer Fear, Confidence and Compassion where icy arpeggios crest crunchy, overlapping motifs, humanised by the unexpected eleventh hour arrival of ethereal, wordless vocals.
