With a shared love of drones and twisting soundscapes, they would quickly devise a plan that would sprout into Urban Eden. Approaching the project from very different roads, their first album, Building Gardens From Concrete, blossomed in Spring 2020. By layering, deconstructing, remixing, and generally messing with each other’s ideas, the shape of Residual Tales began to emerge: dark lonesome nights punctuated by flashes of hope, brooding expanses hiding slivers of a forgotten paradise.
