"Sa Casa des Carbó is an old fishermen's house located on the seafront in Cala Vedella, a small beach cove situated on the west coast of Ibiza. Through its windows filters the salty air and the murmur of the sea, while also offering a glimpse into the history of a land with a powerful nomadic spirit and a cultural background that has no equal.

In November 2020, in the midst of a global pandemic and driven by the desire to embark on an inner journey, Mario G. Quelart (Lucient) chose this peculiar enclave as a source of inspiration and focal point for his debut album 'Sa Casa des Carbó'. For ten days Lucient self isolated by choice and undertook an introspective journey to find himself. It was a voyage through uncertainty and fear, with moments of tranquillity; a personal pilgrimage traveling through light and the shadows, in which time became a relative element.

'Sa Casa des Carbó' is a sound journal of this experience, an album with an ambient base, but which opens the door to experimentation, rhythm and psychedelia. Field recordings –the sea, the birds, the wind, and a strangely silent airport– are fundamental parts of this journey and serve as a canvas for an album of cosmic electronica with Balearic overtones.'

We had met Glen some years before during an event that took place in the amazing “Aula de Música de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid”. Glen came to Madrid playing with Charlie Morrow as part of an event about Fluxus with Alison Knowles and Philip Corner. On that time Glen played in Steve Reich Ensemble and our mutual love for repetitive music and ethnic music allowed us to build a very good friendship. When Glen visited Madrid we always get together in our rehearsal space and we played, talked and drink for hours. In 1985, during one of those sessions, Miguel Herrero joined us. On that time Miguel and meI used to play together in a club each week, where we made a bizarre fusion between pop and repetitive music. The sessions sounded so good, our ideas flowed so easily that after one session, I called Track Studios to ask if they have free rooms to make a recording during next days and as they told yes, I booked it immediately. The recording was made with an incredible fluency and about 12 hours after, we had recorded Música Esporádica. Fluency, spontaneity, close friendship was the fuel that fed us\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cem\u003e\u003cspan class=\"bcTruncateMore\"\u003e. After 34 years everything remains the same. Some of them are not with us any more but Música Esporádica keeps the unselfish spirit that encourages to share without objectives.
