The album is a series of pieces for prepared guitar and live electronics that Davis recorded between late 2020-early 2021. The album and track titles are inspired by the lyrics of Bruce Springsteen’s “Born To Run”, envisioning a futuristic, digital, and cybernetic re-imagining of the themes of the song. Davis was inspired by the use of the guitar in “Born To Run” as the entire band is orchestrated around the open guitar chords and tone along with the recording and layering of dozens of guitar tracks Springsteen utilized for the final song.
