1980年代に活動していたハンガリーのポストパンクバンドtrabantが、2024年にポルトガル／イギリスのカルトレーベルPurgeからリリースしたレコードです。 ニューウェーブ〜ポストパンク〜インディーポップ9曲を収録。180g重量盤です。ライナーノーツ付属。 以下、レーベルによる解説です。 "カルトバンドの中のカルトバンド：TRABANTは1980年にハンガリーで結成された。同グループがレコード制作に最も近づいたのは、中心メンバーが出演した映画のプロモーション用7インチ・ビニール盤を制作した時だった。ハンガリーの反権威主義的――文字通り「非合法」とされた――アンダーグラウンド・ミュージック・シーンの中心に位置していた彼らにとって、この映画のサウンドトラックは、検閲の厳しい共産主義政権が要求する録音・流通ライセンスを取得することなく、自分たちの音楽を世に送り出す機会となった。 TRABANTは、独立性と楽しさを自らの成功の尺度としていた。彼らはアーティストの集まりとして、粗末な録音機材や楽器（その多くは玩具店で購入したもの）を使い、常に人目につかない場所で、数多くの重要な作品を録音し続けた。バンドのラインナップは常に変化しており、共同創設者のガボール・ルキン、マリエッタ・メヘシュ、ヤーノシュ・ヴェトーを中心に構成され、後期にはミハーイ・ヴィグ（バンド「バラトン」のメンバーであり、ベラ・タール監督作品のサウンドトラック作曲家）も加わった。TRABANTは、これらの録音の一部を秘密のカセットテープ・ネットワークを通じて共有していたが、アルバムのリリースには抵抗していた……今に至るまで。 このビニール盤は、TRABANTによる初の音楽コレクションであり、彼らの最もよく知られ、愛されている楽曲を収録している。オリジナルテープから新たに転写され、丁寧に修復された音源に加え、ヤーノシュ・ヴェトーによるバンドの豊富な写真資料、そしてジョージ・シルテス（ラースロー・クラズナホルカイとの仕事で最もよく知られる翻訳家）による歌詞の新しい英訳が同梱されている。" レーベルその他作品はこちら /// Click here to see more Purge releases available at...
