A guitarist whose distinctive "physical" style was shaped while playing with the band Kurws, Hubert Kostkiewicz is now an active member of the post-punk group Atol Atol Atol. Throughout his career, he has performed hundreds of concerts. Beyond his band engagements, he channels his fascination with musique concrète, electroacoustic, and improvised music. He explores articulations born from limitations and the imperfections of execution and notation. His explorations are primarily carried out with the electric guitar, but he also incorporates acoustic instruments, processed field recordings, and dub-style mixing."

Artist statement:

"This album is dedicated to Bemma Bar as much as to any place we create to play and learn about new music, nurture community ties and host each other. Without a club infrastructure, there is no live music and without live music, an important aspect of social life disappears. We need a new cultural policy that responds to the problem of the vanishing of non-commercial spaces. We need somewhere to create and cultivate our culture."
