"Felix Havstad Ziskaは、パンクロックと北欧のフォークミュージックの生々しい本質にルーツを持つ、デンマーク／スウェーデン出身のミュージシャン兼作曲家だ。グラミー賞に3度ノミネートされ、デンマークでプラチナディスクを獲得したほか、Netflixの世界的ヒット作『ストレンジャー・シングス』をはじめとするサウンドトラック制作にも携わっている。

Felix Havstad Ziskaが作曲・録音を手掛けた『lower』と『Kronborg Polska』を収録した初の7インチ・ヴァイナル・シングルが、新設されたHandjob Recordsからリリースされる。このシングルに続き、春から夏にかけてさらに2枚の7インチ・ヴァイナルがリリースされ、2026年秋にはフルLPのリリースで締めくくられる予定だ。

このアルバムは、過去10年間にわたり、まるで天から降り注ぐ稲妻のようにFelix Havstad Ziskaのヴァイオリンを打ち抜いてきた、ダークなフォーク・ダンスの集大成だ。彼は幼少期から、北欧のメランコリーとフォークの伝統に深く刻まれた内なる旋律の世界を携えてきた――それは無意識のうちに、そして忠実に彼の基盤に根付いている。ドローン、緊張、そして解放に対する彼の変わらぬ魅力に導かれ、彼はリスナーを北の最も暗く、そして最も美しい場所へと誘う。

"Felix Havstad Ziska is a Danish/Swedish musician and composer with roots in the raw nerve of punk rock and Nordic folk music. He has contributed to three Grammy nominations, received a Danish platinum record, and worked on soundtracks, including the international Netflix success Stranger Things.

The first 7” vinyl single featuring the tracks lower and Kronborg Polska, composed and recorded by Felix Havstad Ziska, will be released on the newly founded Handjob Records. The single will be followed throughout spring and summer by two additional 7” vinyl releases, culminating in a full LP release in autumn 2026.

The album is a collection of dark folk dances that, over the past ten years, have struck Felix Havstad Ziska’s violin like lightning from the sky. Since childhood, he has carried an inner melodic universe deeply marked by Nordic melancholy and folk tradition — subconsciously and faithfully embedded in his foundation. Accompanied by his enduring fascination with drones, tension, and release, he invites the listener into some of the darkest and most beautiful places of the North.

With both respect for and unawareness of the tradition he seeks to write himself into, the forthcoming album emerges as an intuitive outsider’s take on what Nordic folk music was, is, and may become."
