"アーティスト、作曲家、ミュージシャンとして、シンガポール出身のBani Haykalは、インスタレーション、詩、パフォーマンスなど、フィードバック／フィードフォワード・メカニズムにおけるインターフェイスと相互作用の様式を軸とするさまざまな形態で研究を行っている。彼はデータポリティクス、音楽、スペキュラティブ・フィクションの交差点に魅了されている。彼は幅広い楽器を使い、物語、構造化された即興、話し言葉を探求している。本書では、実現しなかった夢という視点から、未来というアイデアと戯れる。主にマレー語で書かれ、朗読される彼の声は、自由形式の詩的なものから、怒りに満ちた抗議演説、異例の音楽構成に包まれた初期のマレー系ポップ・シンガーの魅惑的な反映まで、さまざまに行き来する。THIS IS YOU GLITCHING MY DEATH』に収録された作品は、平凡な日常を詩的な領域へと攪乱し、自らの言葉で時間と対峙する状況における不安について考察している。"

"As an artist, composer, and musician, Singaporean Bani Haykal’s research interests culminate in various forms including installation, poetry, and performance that revolve around modes of interfacing and interaction in feedback/feedforward mechanisms. He is fascinated with the intersection of data politics, music and speculative fiction. He works with a broad range of instruments, exploring the narratives, structured improvisation and spoken words. For this volume, Haykal played with the idea of futurity from the perspective of unrealized dreams. Written and recited mostly in Malay, his voice roams from the freeform poetic to the wrathful protest speech, to seductive reflections of the early Malay pop singers wrapped in unorthodox musical composition.
