Esc.rec.:

"Salmoni is an acoustic duo formed by Filippo Gillono on acoustic guitar and Zevi Bordovach on harmonium. In 2019 they started a cohabitation in Turin with other musicians from the experimental scene of the city. Their common devotion to Robert Wyatt leads the two musicians to start playing together, at first with out any precise aim, but after a while an interesting sound and new compositions emerged. So begins a musical research to reach a spontaneous, instinctual, ancestral sound. Their first album 'Salmoni' is the consideration of the life of a wild salmon. Acoustic instruments, tape recorders and field recordings create an intimate dialogue, suggesting a musical reflection that explores streams and changes of life. It’s been recorded completely at home on an old National tape recorder.

Please note that the track titled 'Full album' is longer than all the separate tracks put together.

Filippo Gillono is an Italian guitarist and composer, he studied in Turin Jazz guitar (BA) and Jazz composition (MA). He is an active member of the experimental and improv scene in Turin. Over the past years he has been working internationally with the trio Naso 2, and the Italian collective Pietra Tonale.

Zevi Bordovach, based in Turin, plays piano, harmonium and keyboards. He’s been working internationally over the past years with Andrea Laszlo de Simone, Francesco Bianconi, Pietra Tonale and others."

The other side of the river shows the industry of the Port of Rotterdam, mainly lots of cranes (un)loading containers from the huge ships that bring them here. But de Hoek is also a seaside resort with wide beaches and matching beach clubs, assuring a wide range of entertainment. In 2014 they were asked to participate in a new exhibition in de Hoek.
