"サウンド・コンテクスト

サウンドアーティスト、学際的アーティスト、そして作曲家であるRoman Golovkoは、展覧会『DARK THAW』のために特別に、本作を境界空間としての『DARK THAW』の理解を拡張するサウンド作品を制作した。そこでは、ダーク・アーバニズムがホーンタロジカルな視点によって補完され、彷徨う主体が都市と神話の狭間をさまよう。それは、薄明の領域へと足を踏み入れた来場者の過渡的な状態を反映している。来場者は、幽霊のような反響と「陽の世界」のかすかなざわめきに満ちた暗い通りを辿り、熱狂的な錯乱と騒音に満ちた隠れ家や納骨堂の静寂を経て、神話の山（そして山岳的な）世界へと登っていく――それは、生の勝利について、あるいは死について語っているのだ。

音響イベントは、展覧会のルートを地形的に辿るが、単なる再現を避け、そこに新たな次元を加えている――時には意図的に道を外れさせ、時には新たな道筋を示唆する。

歴史的背景

1960年代は、ソビエト文化史に「雪解け」期の主要なイメージとしてその痕跡を残した。このイメージは今日、現代ロシアの美的語彙において重要な位置を占め、広く研究されている。映画、デザイン、演劇、文学は、豊かな視覚言語と、世界や人間に対する理想主義的かつ感傷的なイメージを伴う文化的・歴史的現象として、しばしば「解凍」に言及する。同時に、画一的な美的規範では、その時代の雑多な現実のすべてを捉えきれず、その結果、首都では非公式な芸術家集団が出現し始めた。

展覧会『DARK THAW』は、ソ連のアンダーグラウンドの世界を垣間見せるものである。そこでは、空中に漂う刺激的なタバコの煙が、対話者たちの姿を判別し難く神秘的なものにし、逆説的な会話が人々を混乱させ、通常の合理的な思考から遠ざけていく。「スペツクラン（Spetskhran）」――主に大都市圏でみられた現象――は、希少な学術的知識の源であるだけでなく、哲学、宗教、芸術、その他多くの分野に関心を持つ、実に多様な知識人たちの集いの場であり、惹きつけられる中心地でもあった。"

"SOUND CONTEXT
Especially for the exhibition DARK THAW, sound artist, interdisciplinary artist and composer Roman Golovko created a sound work that expands the understanding of DARK THAW as a border space - dark urbanism in it is complemented by a hauntological perspective, and the wandering subject wanders between the city and the myth. It reflected the transitional state of a visitor to the twilight zone, who follows the dark streets, full of ghostly echoes and barely audible hum of the "sunny world", through dens with their feverish delirium and noise, and the peace of the columbarium to the ascent to the mountain (and mountainous) world of myth – telling either about the triumph of life, or about death.

Topographically, the sound events repeat the exhibition route, but, avoiding illustration, they give it an additional dimension – sometimes deliberately leading astray, and sometimes suggesting new paths.

HISTORICAL CONTEXT
The 1960s left their mark on the history of Soviet culture with the major image of the Thaw period, which today occupies an important place in the aesthetic vocabulary of modern Russia and is well studied. Cinema, design, theater, and literature often refer to the Thaw as a cultural and historical phenomenon with a rich visual language, idealistic and sentimental images of the world and man. At the same time, a homogeneous aesthetic canon did not describe the entire motley reality of the era, as a result of which informal artistic associations began to emerge in the capitals.

The exhibition DARK THAW offers a glimpse into the Soviet underground – where a cloud of acrid tobacco smoke hanging in the air makes the figures of interlocutors difficult to distinguish and mysterious, and paradoxical conversations confuse and lead away from the usual rational thinking. The Spetskhran – a predominantly metropolitan phenomenon – was not only a source of rare academic knowledge, but also a center of attraction and a meeting place for very different intellectuals interested in questions of philosophy, religion, art and many other disciplines."
