"Pentiments continues its collaboration with the legendarily enigmatic American sound art pioneer Leif Brush, this time with an extensive double LP release representing the most comprehensive collection of his recorded work to date. In plumbing the depths of his archives, we’ve unearthed and gathered a great breadth of his decades-long sonic research, spanning from his early work as a grad student to various lecture documents from his eventual tenure at UMD, with many curious stops and experiments in between.

'Stitching in Process: Windmixed Data' brings these fragments together with a somewhat new perspective on their trajectory—pieces are reconsidered, refreshed, and given a new sense of continuity, aided additionally by the expert mastering of Giuseppe Ielasi. Most importantly, this release marks the first commercially available compendium of Leif’s greater body of work in his 85 years of life, and for those keen on the early exploration of sound and its potentials, it is a revelation that is long overdue. In an edition of 200 with high gloss gatefold sleeve featuring the photo work of Gloria DeFilipps Brush."

80-90年代に活動していたイギリスのバンドTuuの中心メンバーMartin Franklinと Michael O'Dempseyが、2023年7月に同国発掘系レーベルInfinite Expanseからリリースしたサウンドトラック作品です。 1985-1986年に演劇用に製作したLo-Fiインダストリアル・ドローン〜ネオクラシカル・アンビエント11曲を収録。 ※デジタル音源を無料でお送りいたしますのでお気軽にご連絡くださいませ以下、レーベルによる解説です。 "歴史的文脈に浸り、不気味なテープ・ループ、フィードバック、80年代のストンプ・ボックス・エフェクトに初期のデジタル・シンセシスをミックスしたサウンドで構成されている。Kolbeは、第二次世界大戦中にアウシュビッツで身代わりに死ぬことを志願したポーランドのカトリック神父の物語である。1941年7月、収容所から一人の囚人が脱走し、副司令官はさらなる脱走を阻止するため、地下壕で餓死させる10人の男を選んだ。選ばれた一人、若い夫であり父親でもあったフランシシェク・ガジョーニチェクが泣き叫ぶと、マクシミリアン・コルベが志願して彼の身代わりになった。当時、用務員の助手だった目撃者によると、コルベは牢獄の独房で、囚人たちに祈りをささげたという。看守がコルベの様子をうかがうたびに、コルベは独房の真ん中に立ったり、ひざまずいたりして、入ってくる囚人たちを穏やかに見つめていた。2週間も飢えと水不足が続いた後、生きていたのはコルベと他の3人だけだった。看守は壕を空にしたかったので、残った4人の囚人に致死注射を打った。コルベは1941年8月14日に死んだ。数年後、彼は1971年に教皇パウロ6世によって信仰の告白者として列福され、1982年には教皇ヨハネ・パウロ2世によって聖人に列せられた。1985年から86年にかけて、制作会社Theatre of Polandは、デズモンド・フォリスタルの著書を基にした劇『Kolbe』をヨーロッパ各地のカトリック教会で上演した。ここで紹介する録音は、ツアー中に販売されたカセットの一部で、ニュージーランドのリッテルトンで回収され、2023年4月にオーストラリアのブリスベンでマスタリングされた。このカセットには、1986年9月にウィンザーのセント・エドワーズ教会で行われた劇場公演のライブ録音や、映画『Tag der Freiheit：また、映画『Tag der...

The sound of the two of them was sometimes silent, other times eloquent, and they continued to weave their sounds together, never leaving each other. It seemed like a journey for people from different worlds to find a common language.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eOn the day of the event, we performed two impromptu performances of around 30 minutes each.
