Lately I've been visited by memories from a simpler time, NYC in the early years of the century, and my friend Richard Garet is often on them. 当店おなじみフランスのドローン作家Bruno Duplantが、2022年6月にベルギー・ブリュッセルの実験レーベルUnfathomlessから200部限定でリリースしたCDです。 フィールドレコーディングを混ぜたディープ・ドローン作品です。 以下、作家本人による解説です。 "Nox "というサウンドピースは、タイトルにある伝統的な夜間流血を反映していることに加え、ダクティリック・ヘキサメーターの不完全形と回文In girum imus nocte ecce et consumimur igniからできる複数の意味と解釈に基づいている。絵画的で詩的なこのラテン語のフレーズは、ヴァージルの作とされることが多いが、ろうそくのまわりをぐるぐると回る蛾のことを指している： 「私たちは夜の中をぐるぐる回り、火に食い尽くされる」。また、もっと身近なところでは、1978年にギー・ドゥボールが監督したフランス映画もある。この映画（95分）は、消費社会と資本主義的疎外を描写し、現代の奴隷の状態を浮き彫りにしている。今日、このラテン語の表現は、超自由主義と大規模な気候危機の現象によって、さらに新しい意味を帯びている。人間は蛾のように、自ら灯した火の上で羽を燃やし、警告や脅威にもかかわらず、それを維持し続けている。私たちは、ギー・ドゥボールが描いた人新世、消費社会、資本主義的疎外の終焉を目撃しているのだろうか？"...
