"Released in 2023, the last 'groove' series was about experimenting with 160 bpm tempo, footwork and ambient. This time the owner of Outlines, Pawel "Paide" Dunajko, invited three Polish drummers to collaborate and offered them to challenge a new concept in this now classic publishing series.

The author of the first groove is Jacek Prościński, known as wh0wh0. His musical works include a debut album released by Coastline Northern Cuts and two improvised ambient albums recorded with the band Hinode Tapes.

groove 16.1 begins with a rising wave of grainy reverberations, from under which a hazy pulse gradually emerges. The panorama of sounds becomes enriched by another musical details: delicate percussion murmurs, single cymbal reverberations. wh0wh0 spreads the individual emphasis of the track with great sensitivity, creating an oneiric landscape reminiscent of early Murcof productions. An excellent addition to the whole are the spacious saxophone parts played by Piotr Chęcki.

Groove 16.2 is also located in subtle emanations and layered micro narratives. Organic splashes intermingle with synthetic electronics and footwork tradition. 16.2 is set on an edgy and bouncy pulse that creates a tense drama at the peak of the track. The final section of the groove is a highly atmospheric acoustic-ambient suite.

wh0wh0 uncompromisingly deals with the idea proposed by the owner of outlines with a natural skill, creating two tracks clearly grounded in footwork that simultaneously remain genre-blurring and elusive. "
