Διονύσιος Ταμπάκηςが、2026年5月にウガンダ・カンパラのレフトフィールド・ダンスレーベルNyege Nyege Tapes傘下Heat Crimesからリリースしたレコードです。 エキゾチックなドゥームメタル〜ドローン12曲を収録。 以下、レーベルによる解説です。 "ディオニシオス・タバキス神父は正教会の司祭だ。ナフプリオのパナギツァ教会、すなわち「聖母マリアの降誕」教会で奉仕しており、自宅では一人で録音を行っている。 その家で生み出される音楽は、自らを主張したりはしない。それは、ジャンルよりも古く、私たちが音を分類するために用いる区別よりも古いどこかからやってくるのだ。タバキスは、最も広い意味での東地中海出身の音楽家だ。ビザンチン音楽の理論と実践に鍛えられ、カヌーン、ウード、ジュンブシュ、ネイ、ズルナ、ポリティキおよびポンティク・リラ、カバク・ケマネ、ヤリ・タンブルを自在に操る。彼が活動する枠組みはビザンチン様式であり、それは単なる美的選択や文化的参照としてではなく、論理そのものとして機能している。音階、音程、ある音が別の音に向かって近づくか遠ざかるかの動き――これこそが動作原理だ。そこから生まれるのは、石の壁の重みと絶え間ない祈りを背負った、ゆっくりとした、重厚で、瞑想的なドローンだ。それは依然としてビザンチン音楽である。 2曲はフレットレス・エレキギターを軸に構成されている。トルコ語で「ペルデシズ」とは、単に「フレットなし」を意味する。フレットレス楽器は、声にはありながら固定音高の楽器にはない正確さで、半音よりも小さい音程である「モリア」を生み出せる数少ない楽器の一つだ。ここでは、ギターはギターらしく振る舞わない。西洋の調律が何世紀も前に閉ざしてしまった音高へと曲がり、地球が最もゆっくりと動くように、あるいはスコット・ウォーカーの晩年の作品がメロディーではなく重みとして音を用いたように、動きをみせる。 2曲では、エフゲニア・シメラ・アルメニが歌っている。彼女の声はプサルティックで、正教会の詠唱の伝統「プサルトトラグード（ψαλτοτράγουδο）」、すなわち詠唱歌の訓練を受けており、一本のろうそくが暗い身廊を切り裂くように、ドローンを切り裂いていく。『Χαίρε Παρθένε Σουμελά』は、スメラの神母（テオトコス）を讃えるポンティウス地方の賛歌だ。『ロドン・プシヒ』（魂の薔薇）。どちらも信仰に捧げられた曲だ。どちらも揺るぎない。...
