"A cycle of five chamber works by the Argentine composer, written for and performed by ensemble Gyre:
Alejandro Oliván López, baritone Saxophone
Stefanie Mirwald-Keiser, accordion
Christian Streit Smith, percussion

Two of the pieces are for the full trio, the others being solos for each of the instrumentalists, but the music is augmented with electronics designed by the composer, as well as adding subtle vocal accompaniments: “the voice I have in mind is not a classical or trained voice — it’s an everyday voice, the voice with which we hum a song we love….the voice with which, I imagine, our ancestors once sang.”

Fantastically original, occasionally abrasive music which has been described as ‘punk-poetic’, and which the composer himself likens to sculpture which is 'unfinished…(coming from) that place where stone ceases to be stone and becomes sculpture, and where the sculpture merges again with the raw stone'"
