"One and a half years after the initial release date, Oscarson is thrilled to present the re-release and first physical edition of Dalton Alexander’s second full-length album, I Wonder How Many Are Still Alive.

While no doubt a kindred spirit with 2022’s sparse and bittersweet Almost Home if I Disappear, this project sees Alexander branching out in new sonic and collaborative directions for the very first time. It features a host of collaborators including Darcy McCord on cello, Dorothy Williams on fiddle, and Anne-Julie Royer, Sara MacDonald, and Odette Burns sharing vocal duties. The lo-fi guitars, field recordings, and disembodied voices of Almost Home if I Disappear are now joined by wandering piano motifs, a Free Store harmonium, buzzing synthesizers, and plucked rubber bands to create a tapestry of sound created in response to the loss of three loved ones."
