Recorded December 4th, 2024 directly to TDK SA-X 1/8” Magnetic Tape

The three original 4-track tape recordings can be heard at around minute 5 on side A, minute 10:30 on side A, and minute 0:00 on side B. These original tape recordings were cut and spliced into various 8-second cassette tape loops which were then played a manipulated by a Yamaha MT4X and a SABA walkman and re-recorded using an Akai GXC-570D

Melma_Mire is Joe Rehmer’s solo project where he uses field recordings and samples recorded on, and manipulates through 1/8” magnetic tape via cassette tape loops. Performed with a 4 track tape recorder and various Walkmans, they are layered with live electric bass to create hypnotic drone music, strange atmospheric moods and complex, mysterious soundscapes"
