Aural Canyon:

“Deep dives into pools of restorative sound; rolling bells and undulating organ tones provide a bed for harp and piano to drift in and out.

These compositions weave together straight-to-tape sessions and field recordings, topped off with some digital dubbing. Recording was very much a practice in soothing the self, a partner, a child in-utero, and a fostered cat.

Our sensory experience begins in the watery world of the womb. Sounds are heard in a way that we cannot recall, yet they guide us when we leave that place. To me, this resembles those ocean-dwelling mammalian cousins reverberating in the deep… their use of sound guides their relationships and journeys.

‘Delta Waves’ refers to both a place where waters meet as well as those slow-moving brain waves that are most prevalent in infants."
