Oscar Muleroキュレーションによる4曲を収録。180g重量盤です。

"The Third Roomは、テクノ界で最も妥協を許さず、かつ影響力のある存在の一人であるOscar Muleroを招き、キュレーター主導の新シリーズを立ち上げる。数十年にわたるリリース、DJセット、そしてPoleGroupでの活動を通じて、Oscar Muleroは緊張感、簡潔さ、深みによって定義されるサウンドの形成に貢献し、現代のテクノ文化に永続的な足跡を残してきた。

この第1弾では、彼と同じような厳格さと音響的な明快さを体現するアーティストたちを集めている。Oscar Muleroはソロ作品に焦点を当てるのではなく、対話へと軸足を移している――共通の言語の中で活動するプロデューサーたちとつながりつつ、それぞれの独自の視点を作品に持ち込んでいるのだ。

オープニングを飾るのは、唯一のソロトラック『Sonic Synergy』だ。抑制が効いており、ダブの影響を受け、没入感に満ちたこの曲は、温かみのある低音域と徐々に展開していく構成の上に築かれている。続いて、本作の目玉となるDVS1とのコラボレーション曲『Reaction Pair』が収録されている。シーンで最も定評のある2人のアーティストを結集させたこのトラックは、流動的で開放的な構成として展開される。うねるような、わずかに揺らぐベースラインが、緊張を高めたり解消したりするコード進行と出会い、明らかなピークを持たずに前進感を生み出している。

Luigi Tozziとの『Seven』は、より空間的な次元を導入し、Luigi Tozziの雰囲気ある深みとMuleroの着実なドライブ感を融合させている。Isabel Sotoをフィーチャーしたラストトラック『Between the Stars』は、時代を超越した控えめなエネルギーを帯びており、機能的でありながらも決して強引にはならない。

全4トラックを通じて、このEPは一貫したトーンを保っている。広々として球体のような響きを持ち、長尺の展開に焦点を当てている。シリーズの第一弾として、このEPは明確な方向性を示している――長きにわたり愛されるよう構築された、ミニマルで催眠的なテクノだ。"

"The Third Room launches its new curator-led series with Oscar Mulero, one of techno’s most uncompromising and influential voices. Through decades of releases, DJ sets and his work with PoleGroup, Mulero has helped shape a sound defined by tension, reduction and depth, leaving a lasting mark on contemporary techno culture.

For this first chapter, he brings together artists who reflect that same discipline and sonic clarity. Rather than focusing on solo authorship, Mulero shifts towards dialogue - connecting with producers who operate within a shared language, while bringing their own distinct perspectives to the record.

He opens with Sonic Synergy, the only solo track: restrained, dub-influenced and immersive, built on warm low-end and gradual development. The centrepiece of the record follows with Reaction Pair, a collaboration with DVS1. Bringing together two of the scene’s most established voices, the track unfolds as a fluid, open construction: a rolling, slightly woobly bassline meets evolving chords that build and dissolve tension in continuous cycles, creating a sense of forward motion without obvious peaks.

Seven, with Luigi Tozzi, introduces a more spatial dimension, merging Tozzi’s atmospheric depth with Mulero’s steady drive. Closing track Between the Stars, with Isabel Soto, leans into a timeless, understated energy - functional without ever becoming forceful.

Across all four tracks, the EP remains consistent in tone: spacious, spheric and focused on long-form movement. As the first entry in the series, it sets a clear direction - reduced, hypnotic techno built for longevity. "
