Your very own slice of home sound installation. The music contained on each cassette will exist nowhere but your tape. Each tape is its own distinctive experience.

These tapes are handmade in real time and made to order.

Note: the music on each tape could sound like any of the tracks or combinations thereof. Each tape is made with new settings and combinations of synthesizers. The tapes are dubbed in real time directly from the generative synthesis engine on repurposed cassette tapes.

"This music was created using a generative synthesis engine I programmed. It is run controlling various synthesizers including self-programmed digital synthesizer, as well as FM, wave-table, and analog.
This is a collection of sounds that have been featured in some of my installation work, as well as other recorded work."

My battles with gender, known only to me at the time, were also kept completely away from the light, but were beginning to take a heavy toll on my health. Feeling far removed from reality and even my own body, I felt extremely isolated and disconnected. In this dark place I found a lot of inner peace and strength in watching the repetitive cycles of the tide, soaking up every sound, every movement, every feeling and, eventually, reconnecting to myself in a way I never had before. Through this album I discovered the importance of repetitive sound in giving space and structure to my autism. A 120-minute exploration of sounds, loops, frequencies and waves, it’s an eight- part musical cycle split into 15-minute sections across four cassettes, she believes, reflects on this notion of cyclical, rather than linear, time. The eight song cycles are repetitive. They start off basic and functional and build over time. They begin with one sound but soon you hear other sounds. From there you get taken to another point, where you hear something else and so on and so forth.
