Jarrett and Stefan met at Camas Books \u0026amp; Infoshop (Unceded Lekwungen Territory) at a discussion about the connections to be made between the Quebec student strike uprising against neoliberalism in 2012 and other social movements\u003cspan class=\"bcTruncateMore\"\u003e locally and globally.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eOver the years, Jarrett and Stefan kept the connection going, and in 2023 they finally began collaborating on music. This album is the result. It mixes lo-fi piano recordings, synth and digital processing, and field recordings. This album was created on unceded Indigenous territories and largely took place as Jarrett and Stefan corresponded about respectively finding ways to express solidarity with the Palestinian people in their creative practices and art, and joining the protest movement to lift up Palestine in their respective city places (Vancouver and Montreal). Jarrett and Stefan met at Camas Books \u0026amp; Infoshop (Unceded Lekwungen Territory) at a discussion about the connections to be made between the Quebec student strike uprising against neoliberalism in 2012 and other social movements\u003cspan class=\"bcTruncateMore\"\u003e locally and globally.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eOver the years, Jarrett and Stefan kept the connection going, and in 2023 they finally began collaborating on music. This album is the result. It mixes lo-fi piano recordings, synth and digital processing, and field recordings. This album was created on unceded Indigenous territories and largely took place as Jarrett and Stefan corresponded about respectively finding ways to express solidarity with the Palestinian people in their creative practices and art, and joining the protest movement to lift up Palestine in their respective city places (Vancouver and Montreal). I walk around a lot because I don't have a car but cars are everywhere. They are so ubiquitous that they blend in with the background noise of the rest of New York City.
