And yet oddly they seem to fit snugly together here. A combination of home recorded mini-epics mixed with sessions produced by Brad Cook (Megafaun, Hiss Golden Messenger, behind the window for many others) await the hungry listener. Wheezing mellotron, chunky banjo, vibraphone, a frankenstein-shaped vocal looper, and the humble nylon string guitar swirl around and around on Riggs’ first vinyl release, mastered by the great Patrick Klem.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cem\u003eWe here at al Riggs LLC believe in the Sondheim golden rule “content dictates form”. The separation between the initial process of loading up the sampler with sounds from my instruments and the actual performance results in music that I hear as a time-capsule, all stitched together into a sort of final recital that culls from a long timeline of recorded performances.
