アメリカ・NYの実験音楽家Christina Giannoneが、2023年7月にオーストラリア・ブリスベンの実験レーベルRoom40からリリースしたCDです。

ミニマルなローエンド・ドローン5曲を収録。

以下、作家本人による解説です。

"解離がこの作品の原動力である。身を委ねるという行為、私たちの存在を外から観察しようとする試み。

屈服はあきらめのように感じる。

受け入れることはあきらめのように感じる。

そのプロセスには、観察と細部へのこだわりによるデジタルサウンドの実験や、聴き手によって音が異なる姿を見せるというアイデアが含まれている。この細部へのこだわりは、角度によって形を変えるホログラムとして機能する。多次元的な存在のアイデアと、最も純粋な形での無関心。ゆっくりとしたデジタルの蒸発。

無とは何かを再現する試み。それは窓の外を眺めることかもしれないし、通りすがりの会話かもしれないし、不完全な思考かもしれない。その隙間を埋める、はかなく無意味な瞬間。私たちが無意識にしか意識していないもの。

周縁。忘れられたもの。その間の静寂。"

Artist statement excerpt by Christina Giannone:

"Dissociation is the driving force behind the composition. The act of surrendering, the attempt to observe our existence from the outside.

Giving in feels like giving up.

Acceptance feels like resignation.

The process included digital sound experimentation by means of observance and detail orientation and the idea of sound presenting itself in different identities depending on the listener. This attention to detail acts as a hologram, changing shapes depending on the angle. Ideas of multi-dimensional existences and indifference in its purest form. Slow, digital evaporation.

An attempt to recreate what ‘nothing’ means. It might be a gaze out the window, conversations in passing, an incomplete thought. Fleeting, meaningless moments that fill the gaps. Things we are only subconsciously aware of."
