Cybernetic Music grew from\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eKayn’s longstanding engagement and fascination with data processing \u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003etheory, which far outweighed his interest in the work of other composers \u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eand the zeitgeists of the day - a fact which contributed to his being \u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003edeclared persona non grata by the avant-garde establishment, and \u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eultimately his lasting obscurity.
