Having left the bulk of his studio in storage, he traveled with only a small modular synthesizer and handheld digital recorder. This minimalist approach, however, led to uniquely direct approach to the instrument. Ritger often found himself working from single use patches – building up a soundworld and abandoning it once it was time to pack up shop and move to another locale.
