"Hamburg‑based techno veteran Syntax Error (Christian Schachta) returns with “Decade of Boxes”, a powerful new EP capturing the current zeitgeist: the resurgence of identity‑boxing under the guise of “tolerance.” The title provocatively alludes to a climate in which society, in the name of inclusivity, paradoxically insists on increasingly rigid categories and labels.

Concept & Themes
With Decade of Boxes, Syntax Error confronts the irony of modern tolerance: a societal impulse to embrace difference that often doubles as a mechanism to further categorize and segregate. The EP’s two originals delve into themes of self‑perception (“The Me and I”) and collective experience (“For All”), while the remix package responds in varied ways—each artist refracting the idea of identity through their own interpretive lens.

With this release, Syntax Error pushes listeners to reconsider the very structures of categorization: Decade of Boxes is both a soundtrack and a statement.
