大阪のモジュラー奏者Nakayama Munetoshiが2020年7月に奈良のMuzan Editionsよりリリースした100部限定カセット。モジュラーアンビエント6曲を収録。既に廃盤です。DLコード付属。

Nakayama Munetoshi uses synthesizers to create BGM at his hair salon in Osaka. While it might be difficult, considering the times we’re in, to stop by for a trim, Reboot A Repetition should give you some idea of the sounds that great Nakayama’s clients when they come to see him.
Reboot A Repetition is the perfect introduction to Nakayama’s wide-ranging and diverse catalogue. The album opens on an abstract note, featuring recordings of Bridget Riley interviews interspersed between various rhythmic bell tones that seem to dance in and out of frame expertly; Regard and Clear open onto more traditionally ambient territory, but take very different journeys on their way; Phantom plays with a number of melodies that float alongside each other in what feels like a ghostly, vibrating ether; the penultimate Spurt channels the cosmic visions of Klaus Schulze; and Pulse closes the album with hypnotic simplicity and grace.
Each track showcases a different side of Nakayama’s formidable compositional powers and, as a whole, provides kaleidoscopic overview of one of Japan’s foremost talents in modular synthesis.
