The foundation of this project is a classical guitar (tuned quarter-tone) connected via a piezo microphone to separate guitar amplifiers. The signals emanating from the amplifiers are given distinct identities through horizontal and vertical processing or static manipulation within the texture of the sounds themselves.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eConceptually, Majchrzak is captivated by grappling with structures that are unstable, necessary, and unattainable—both controllable and beyond control. For him, composing serves as a method for pinpointing the paradoxes within composition, while\u003cspan class=\"bcTruncateMore\"\u003e improvisation tests the resilience of those paradoxes. It is a way of shaking the structure, acts of self-vandalism performed on the evolving grammar of the piece over time.
