"Hanging in a balance, dangling in air, sound murmurs with its own gravity and light. a picnic of sorts is the duo of Josh Bennett (CO/NYC) and Patrick Selvage (CO). Arranging delicate synthesis with pianos, guitars, field recordings, and gentle effect processing, the duo create a hallmark collection of songs that typify the collaborative explorations you’ve come to expect from Cached. Whisper light textures and tender melodies flutter between throbs of fm bass, capacious pad swells, and delicate bleeps. Evoked in the cover art, mobile is an album of parts mounted together on delicate wires and hoisted into space, left to spin in the pressures of air; the compositions are simple but nuanced and afford pleasure through repeat passes as they are activated by our listening."
