イタリア・ミラノのストレンジビーツデュオRosso Polareが、2023年4月にイギリスのSagomeからリリースしたレコードです。 ストレンジビーツ〜ポストニューエイジ・アンビエント4曲を収録。 以下、レーベルによる解説です。 "動物の世界は、ミラノの即興デュオRosso Polareの作品に常に登場する。カニ・レンティが、フォークロア、アンビエンス、時折ハミングを織り交ぜたきらびやかなミックスに組み込まれたディアファナスな鳥のさえずりに導かれていたとすれば、ボッカ・ドンブラでは、テーマはより暗くなり、テクスチャーは特定しにくくなり、動物の存在は新たな意味合いを帯びる。私たちは獣のような、地獄のような、集合的無意識を呼び起こす洞窟のような空間に入り込む。 このアルバムは、ティモシー・モートンのダーク・エコロジーに影響を受けている。この思想家は、人間界と自然界の絶え間ない交流を継続的な対話としてとらえ、両者が互いに影響を与え合いながら、一連の残響するループを形成していると考えている。このループは彼らの作曲にも反映されており、エレキギターやアコースティックギター、モノフォニック・シンセ、ホーン、フルートといった伝統的な楽器を使った即興演奏が、枝や岩、木の実といった自然のノイズを生み出す道具と出会い、重苦しく、しばしば不協和なテクスチャーを生み出している。Bocca D'ombraは、花火のパチパチという音、カラスの鳴き声、教会の鐘の音、子供の遊び場から聞こえる不明瞭な鳴き声など、宇宙を連想させる音と巧みに組み合わされながら、一連のささやき声、息づかい、喘ぎ声、ざわめきの上に成り立っており、時には閉所恐怖症になりそうな親密感を生み出している。距離と反復は、音と周囲の環境に対する彼ら自身の理解に深く刻み込まれ、彼らの練習の構成要素となっている。70年代のグレゴリー・ベイトソンのように、デュオはエコロジーに対するよりロマンティックなアプローチを信条とし、自己と環境、人間と動物、内的なモノローグと外的なアンビエント・ハムの間の多孔質な境界線を模索している。 以前のリリースがよりノイジーで濃密であったとすれば、Bocca D'ombraはタイトで焦点が絞られており、すべての音とメロディーが呼吸し、独自に発展する余地を与えられ、音楽の妖しく別世界的な側面を高めている。その結果、カオスをコンテンポラリーなアニミズムのきらめくコンポジションへと昇華させ、頭脳的で酔わせるようなミックスが生まれた。" レーベルその他作品はこちら /// Click here to see more...
