From the label:

"It has been thirteen years since the last bluhm album was released, 2013's "in the vale of tears" was released by the facture imprint — now in 2026, "signals in the static" is the latest work to finally see the light of day.

bluhm took time to reflect on the works they had previously released and consciously set-out to create a musical narrative equally as mysterious, reflective and otherworldly for the new album, again, using the unforced process both with the vocals and the music, applying the trademark elements of purity alongside the walls of sound to evoke these emotional overtones — fragments of frantic, lost conversations can be heard, sometimes mistaken, then lost once again in translation.
