"From label-founders Dylan M. Howe and Matthew Pepitone is a new split release, "Toss Out" and "Imperfect Vision." Working on solo material this time instead of collaborating as usual, this double CD set (and Pearsoll Peak's first CD release) finds each musician traveling inwards and manifesting the strange and surreal.

"Toss Out" refuses to settle on any one sound, dipping into minimal industrial and dark New Beat like a dusty Andrew Weatherall jam cut up beyond recognition, with noise and field recordings providing the final glue. Recorded in live takes straight to tape, "Toss Out" is as punishing as it is rewarding in its grooves and grit.

"Imperfect Vision" instead locates solace in glitchy rhythms and sanguine, digital melodies, dubbing over itself ad infintium. Composed during quarantine in 2020, the album melds themes of fantasy, magic and sorrow for maximalist, dramatic impact. "Imperfect Vision" is a technical and theatrical mystery.

Both albums are well worth escaping into, finding the duo behind Portland Compressor, Action Sports and Julius Theory working in startling new territory."
