イギリス・ロンドンの実験音楽家Beachersが、2024年3月に自主リリースしたカセットです。職場の電話の音だけを用いて制作したミニマルミュージック8曲を収録。 ※デジタル音源を無料でお送りいたしますのでお気軽にご連絡くださいませ以下、作家本人による解説です。 "『Off the hook』の音は、私が本業で働くオフィスの電話の音だけだ。夜遅く、みんなが帰ったあと、私は何かを仕上げようとしていた。その音はどこからともなく聞こえ、一瞬空気を切り裂いた。そして突然止まった。その後、誰かがダイヤルしているようなビープ音が何度も鳴った。そして静寂。最初は驚いたが、いつも散らかっている仕事机の上の書類を動かしているうちに、電話をフックから外してしまったことに気づいた。ホールドトーン（保留音）が鳴った後、偽のダイヤルが鳴るというこのルーチンは、電話を取っても通じない。あなたの注意を引こうとしているのかもしれない。気まずい沈黙を埋めるためかもしれない。私は電話をフックから少し外して戻し、携帯電話のボイスレコーダーで録音した。ロンドン中心部にある私のオフィスの内外からの雑音が加わり、同じルーチンが録音された。その録音をカットし、移動させ、処理して、『Off the hook』の8つのトラックを作った。コンピューターでエフェクトをかけた以外は、何も加えていない。主にディレイとピッチシフトだ。最後のトラックは、オリジナルの電話の録音をそのままフルで再生したものだ。電話の音、電話そのもの、状況、場所には、私にとって適切だと感じる何かがある。それが切り取れた。でも、それが何を言っていたのかはよくわからない。あなたなりの考えがあるでしょう。" ------------------------------------------ Ask us for digital...
