Capping the ENMX series run, 𝐸𝑛𝑣𝑖𝑟𝑜𝑛𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑠 𝑀𝑖𝑥 is a deep distillation of the sonic agenda within the series and the label more broadly. Maier is keenly attentive to pace and spatial context, allowing for time to stretch, interweaving lush field recordings and emotive new age passages. This album invokes a certain nostalgia for age-old enthnographies, like a romantic letter from the tropics. A hymn of solitude, in awe of the nonhuman and human elements. Unlike other beach\/island locations the scenery there was very dynamic and ever changing.
