Text by Oxtail Recordings:

"Shadowy multimedia collagist Obsidian Shard makes their Oxtail debut with “The Ganser Syndrome,” their latest collection of shapeshifting non-music. Following “The Honeydew Hunt” on Flophouse and a number of self-releases, here OS offers up the finest examples of their trapdoor-filled musique concrète as disembodied percussion, creeping drones, and spraypaint static continuously crumble and reassemble under every step.

Try as you might to ascribe order to the Escheresque proceedings, the record resists logic at every turn, while simultaneously remaining aggressively literal; there is never more or less at play than what you're hearing. The onus, then, is put back to the listener: what are you looking for in music, and why are you trying to find it here? Think less - can you handle that?"
