以下、作家本人による解説です。

"「馬を解き放て」――それはかつて歌の先生から受けたアドバイスだ。  
それが一枚のアルバムとなり、私の声は独自の軌跡をたどった。しばしば言葉が剥ぎ取られ、ハミングからささやきへ、歌声から嘆きへと漂っていく。  
声とは、私がゆっくりと観察し、形作り、遊び、そして導くことを学んだ対象だった。 
フィールドレコーディングによるアンビエントな質感も、この作品に欠かせない要素だ。それらは次第に溢れ出し、膨れ上がっていった。以前録音したオーブン、ラジエーター、冷蔵庫の音は、虫やセミの鳴き声の群れへと変貌を遂げた。
私は音楽を、ある部屋から別の部屋へと移り変わる空間として捉えている。私は、暗くも輝きを持つ何かを作りたかった。低音のベースがささやきの上に溶け込み、振動するオルガンがうめき声のようなボーカルを誘うような世界を。   
このアルバムは、親密なリスニングを求めている。その神秘的で、脆く、瞑想的な性質は、聴き手によって受け止められることを待っている。"

"'Release the Horses' is the advice I once received from my singing teacher.
It became an album, my voice taking its own trajectory. Often being stripped of words; drifting from humming to whispers, from vocals to laments.

Voice was a matter I slowly learned to observe, sculpt, play, and navigate.

Ambient textures of field recordings also are an integral part. They started to teem, to swell. The sounds of ovens, radiators, and fridges I have previously recorded become insects or fields of cicadas.

I picture music as spaces evolving from one room to another. I wanted to create something dark and luminous at the same time, where low frequencies of a bass melt over a whisper, where a vibrating organ invites moaning vocals. 

This album calls for an intimate listening; its mysterious, vulnerable, and contemplative qualities open to being collected."
