"Eptel Oru aka (Alexandre Lepoutre) from France released his first two experimental ambient albums, “Blue Drone”(2023-2025) and “Terra de Siena” (2024-2025). They are a musical synthesis of multiple influences (from 1960s American minimalist music to contemporary Japanese ambient), his life experiences, travels and reflections. these sounds try to express the atmosphere of big cities, the ability to see the everyday environment and the things around us from an unusual angle—for example, the mundane sound of a stovetop beep, recorded and modified by a plugin that gives it a chaotic rhythm. If the listener is sometimes surprised by the music, then the artist has achieved their goal and even more so if the listener perceives things that the author did not see. Recorded in his modest home studio, his two albums have a handcrafted feel, but are made with passion. They are a blend of electric guitars, pedals, synthesizers, acoustic instruments, field recordings, and plugins. They are available to listen to online, but for a different, more lo-fi listening experience, they are also available on cassette. The cassette duplication was done by a professional english company Tapeline Ltd in real time duplicated."
