" The first "studio album" from the only known free improvisation ensemble in West Texas, Llano Estacado Monad Band. Over the course of several months, the band collectively created four graphic scores via a round-robin additive mail art process. Each person playing on this album touched two of the scores. In various groupings the band got together at Wind Tide in Littlefield and performed the scores, with members no longer living on the Llano recording their contributions remotely.

LEMB draws from the tradition established by the Scratch Orchestra, Nihilist Spasm Band, London Improvisers Orchestra, Daigoretsu. Flexible and mutable membership and instrumentation, splitting a difference between musical sound and noise, a ghost stutter. Collective Graphic Works is a less a milestone and more like a fragment of a spectrum. Every LEMB rehearsal and performance is recorded and can be found on the LEMB Bandcamp page."

The titular Blood is that of family; having recorded the bulk of this material at his parent’s home outside of Philadelphia, Ritger edited the session recordings in hotels and spare rooms as he relocated back to the east coast from Denver, Colorado.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eThe Blood finds Radere working in an unusually lean and utilitarian mode. Having left the bulk of his studio in storage, he traveled with only a small modular synthesizer and handheld digital recorder. This minimalist approach, however, led to uniquely direct approach to the instrument. Ritger often found himself working from single use patches – building up a soundworld and abandoning it once it was time to pack up shop and move to another locale. The wide-ranging sonic qualities across the album speak to the efficacy of this approach.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cem\u003eThe work within is gestural, the compositions tighter than the sprawling slow burns found in the rest of the Radere catalog. Having left the bulk of his studio in storage, he traveled with only a small modular synthesizer and handheld digital recorder. Ritger often found himself working from single use patches – building up a soundworld and abandoning it once it was time to pack up shop and move to another locale.
