Empty Space:

"'Noise Around Our Homes' is a compilation of various live performances of Formen in spring 2022.

The EP consists of six tracks that deal with different methods of experimental sound design. Basically Formen explores the interplay of electroacoustic noise and organic compositions. He combines wide electrically charged soundscapes with frequency-dependent changes in timbre. As a result, the tracks can be perceived both as static sound sculptures and as compositions that are constantly evolving.

For the performances, Formen worked exclusively with analog sound sources and modified effects units. The individual sound modules are interconnected to one another in terms of both sound and function, with the mixing console operated by Formen representing the control center of this interaction. As always, Formen performed, mixed and recorded all tracks live without additional overdubbing."
