"Dreamkid's self-titled debut album is a treat for any serious Retrowave fan. The 12-track opus consists of menacing retro electro instrumentals and Dreamkid's own brand of vocal driven emo-synthwave. There are cinematic themes and screaming guitar solos performed by the artist, which transport the listener into realms straight out of 80s action movies akin to Top Gun and Terminator. It's also a deeply personal escapade through toxic relationships and obsessions about American life through the lens of someone who grew up in the eighties.'
