"In the summer of 2017, atop a 6-story walk-up in Neukölln Berlin, Lighter was formed by Camilla Padgitt-Coles (Ivy Meadows, Energy Star, Future Shuttle), Maïa Ibar (Dual Split, TEEN, Malentendu), and Boshra AlSaadi (Janka Nabay and the Bubu Gang, TEEN, SAADI). In the makeshift studio they created there, they tracked a textured and serene ode to the undercurrent pulsing through Berlin. The legendary Sierra Leonean musician Janka Nabay (RIP) visited them there between shows and lent his voice to the closing track, ‘Butterfly Kiss.’ Massage is designed for moments of contemplation, relaxation, and energy work."
